BMR 106 FORAGE SORGHUM (Sorghum bicolor x Sorghum hegari)
Significantly lower stem lignin concentration
Improved digestibility equals milk production of corn
Requires 1/3 less water than corn for same production

BMR 106 is a new generation Brown Midrib forage sorghum designed primarily for high quality silage. BMR 106 contains all of the desirable traits from the previous generation brown midrib hybrids, plus tests indicate even better feed quality. The lignin content of the stem has been dramatically reduced which significantly improves digestibility by 40% over conventional forage sorghums. This improvement in digestibility allows BMR 106 forage sorghum to equal the milk production of corn. The reduced lignin content of BMR 106's stems makes it more prone to lodging than conventional forage sorghums. Because of these weaker stems, BMR 106 should be planted at the recommended rates for your area and harvest should be done on time.

The water requirement of BMR 106 is 1/3 less than the water required to produce an equivalent amount of corn. This high water use efficiency of BMR 106 makes it ideally suited where water is a major yield limiting factor.

BMR 106 is usually planted between June 1 and July 10 in the Midwest when the soil temperatures should be at least 60º F.

Seeding Rate - 6-8 lbs./Acre

MS 202 BMR SORGHUM-SUNDANGRASS (Sorghum bicolor x Sorghum sudanese)
Male sterile
Significant increase in digestibility
Significant increase in palatability
Significant increase in efficiency

MS 202 BMR brand hybrid sorghum-sudangrass with exceptional palatability and the addition of a Brown Midrib gene has shown marked reduction of lignin content in the plant. Lignin is the component of the cell walls that is generally regarded as the primary factor limiting the extent of forage fiber digestion. MS 202 offers a premium summer annual hybrid with the same agronomic characteristics you will find in a conventional sorghum-sudangrass such as excellent hay quality, grazing, superior drought tolerance and wide adaptability - plus the increased utilization and efficiency you get from the Brown Midrib gene. MS 202 is male sterile. There is no volunteer seed unless pollinated by an outside source.

MS 202 BMR Sorghum-Sudangrass is usually planted between June 1 and July 10 in the Midwest when the soil temperature should be at least 60º F.

Seeding Rate - 25-30 lbs./Acre

GREENGRAZER SUPREME SORGHUM-SUDANGRASS

A superior sorghum-sudangrass hybrid that yields high-quality hay or forage with very high levels of palatability. Seeded at normal populations, Greengrazer Supreme produces very small stems and broad leaves. This sorghum-sudangrass hybrid has unusually good plant health, including resistance to powdery mildew, green-top leaf trait and drought tolerance.

Greengrazer Supreme Sorghum-Sudangrass is usually planted between June 1 and July 10 in the Midwest when the soil temperature should be at least 60º F.

Seeding Rate - 35-40 lbs./Acre
